My name is Rohan Lawson, and I am a UK citizen currently in Australia on a Working Holiday Visa, which expires in July 2026. I am writing to enquire about potential aquaculture employment opportunities within your operation, with the goal of securing a long-term position and employer sponsorship.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Aquaculture and Fisheries Management and have hands-on experience in commercial aquaculture operations, including grow-out, water quality monitoring, live fish handling, harvesting, and processing. I previously worked at Spring Creek Barramundi in Townsville and have additional fisheries experience in the UK, including harvesting, grading, and netting operations.

I am physically fit, experienced in outdoor and shift-based work, and committed to maintaining high standards of fish welfare and husbandry practices. I am happy to start in an operational farm role to demonstrate my skills and reliability, with the intention of building a long-term career in the Australian aquaculture industry.

While my Working Holiday Visa is time-limited, I am in a stable position to remain in Australia long term, as my partner is Australian giving pathways to remain in the country. This means I am highly motivated to commit to a long-term role and sponsorship process.
